Derin is a seasoned Group Executive with over 20 years’ corporate experience as Group Chief General Counsel, Company Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer. Her expertise spans regulatory compliance, corporate governance, legal matters, and board secretarial functions across various sectors, including digital marketing and banking. She holds an LL.B (Hons) from Cardiff University, She subsequently qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Nigerian Bar in 2002 (BL.).
She is a WIMBoard Fellow, a Chartered Secretary, and a Fintech programme graduate. Recognized as a leading woman in corporate Nigeria and ranked in the GC Powerlist, Derin is passionate about women’s advocacy, health awareness, and legal reform.
