Funke Sanni is a seasoned sales and management professional with over 21 years of experience in sales, distribution, and operations management in the financial services industry. Her career progressed from a Marketing Executive to the top management position of Controller, Retail Operations at Mutual Benefits between 2003 and 2020. In this role, she oversaw branches across the states and managed over 3,000 sales forces in both the life and general arms of the business.
In late 2020, she joined Old Mutual as the Head of Life Agency, where she successfully set up the Retail Agency team for the Retail arm of Old Mutual Nigeria Life, expanding to eight additional locations across eight states within one year. Funke later took on the role of Head of Retail Distribution, overseeing the Retail Distribution business across the life, general, and bancassurance channels for Nigeria. Despite the closure of the flagship product, she managed to build a functional team across all channels and achieved reasonable growth.
