Gbemi is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and a graduate of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State with HND (Accounting). He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School.
Gbemi has spent over 25 years in the Insurance Industry in Nigeria, he started his working career with Hogg Robinson Nigeria (Insurance Brokers) and Medexia Limited (Subsidiary of Hogg Robinson Nigeria) where he worked as the Head of Finance and Administration.
